With a great location close to beaches, water sports, shopping, a golf course and a fantastic choice of bars and restaurants, Friar's Hill Cottage is a perfect vacation rental home for people wishing to experience Antigua on their own terms.

If you hired a car (which is recommended) you could travel the length of the island in about 30mins or so. You can hire a car from over seven operators at the airport and even have them deliver the car to the house.
If there is a big festival or major event on, it would be best to book in advance as cars can be in short supply.

Getting Around Antigua

Taxis are available throughout Antigua. Fares between the airport, harbour, and many destinations are fixed.
Sample fares from V.C. Bird International Airport to:
  • Nelsons Dockyard--US$21;
  • Shirley Heights--US$21;
  • St. John's--US$7.
Taxi drivers are also qualified as tour guides for sightseeing trips.

The bus is a very economical way to travel the island. There is a Bus stop 2mins walk from the house.
